Chicken livers with french beans

The introduction

So that this other day we visited the City Mall and it was all changed, if you want to know the truth. It's been a long time since I was last there and since then many things have been added to it and there have been many shops opened and stuff like that. It has become pretty cooler and there were also many people there, however, still not thatany as there are in other Malls, because that City Mall is not on sucg place, where as many people live as, for example, in Dighomi, I guess. Though there still are many people, because there's this Goodwill supermarket,  which is pretty large and offers majy great products to its customers. They haveany products imported from Germany and they are really delicious,  however,  when in comparison to the other supermarkets, such as Carrefour or Fresco, this Goodwill supermarket is really more expensive than them. Well, what can you do, it's still a good supermarket. They also have those prepared dishes, of course, and they have a vast assortment of them, if you want to know the truth. They really have some good stuff,  but most of them I like their fish dishes. They have salmon boiled and roasted and cooked and every one of them is really delicious,  because they prepare it somehow differently, I guess. Well, it's  really delicious  and worth buying, so that if you want to visit Goodwill supermarket and have something to eat there, you should definitely try this salmon dish, especially if you love fish.

So, this other day, when me and my friend visited the Goodwill supermarket,  there was this dish, which was a new one, as the sign said. I mean, there was this sign above the dishes, where it said, that it was a new dish with chicken livers and green beans. It sounded pretty interesting,  so that we looked for it for some time, but we couldn't find it, so that then we asked some assistant about it and she showed us that dish and it didn't really look very interesting,  however, we still wanted to try it and so that wr bought some of it. Well, the girl, I mean, the consultant, told us, that it was her favorite dish so far, so that we were kind of more encouraged to try this dish out, too.

However, when I got home and tasted it, it was not that good, I mean, the idea was good, I can say, however it was really salty for me and it had those hugr onions, which I hate and it didn't really have much green beans in it. So that it alk was not that good as I anticipated, if you want to know the truth. However, then I thought, that I could prepare it by myself,  because preparing it wouldn't be that hard, as it had only some easy ingredients and it all would just need to be cooked a little. So, that way, I would taste this dish and know whether it was good or not. Well, I usually don't really like my prepared salads, comparing to my prepared pizzas or Khachapuri or stocks or some cookies and cakes, however, I still prepare those salads. Sometimes they come out pretty good, if you want to know  the truth. That's really cool, you know. My sister likes preparing some stuff and it's like, she can't stand not preparing some things for a long time. I mean, she cab be like that and don't prepare anything for some time,  but then she has this feeling of doing something and it's like an urge of preparing any dish. Well, of course, it's always pleasant and different to eat something that is not prepared by yourself, but by someone else. Then you eat it more deliciously, I guess. Well, it all depends on that dish and some other things, too, of course, because if it's not tasty, you won't eat it with pleasure or anything like that. That's that simple.

Anyways, preparing this dish of chicken livers with green beans was my goaland I got ready for it, I mean, first of all,  I had to buy some things and ingredients for this dish, of course.

Where to buy ingredients for the dish

Well, there are certain places, where you should buy some stuff for this dish. You know,  there are always some frozen and canned stuff in the large supermarkets that you can buy and prepare them, but it's not that good, so that I usually prefer buying some real stuff, I mean, not frozen stuff.

Firat of all, you need to buy some chicken livers. They are sold in unfrozen conditions and are pretty good. There are these wagons on the streets, which are called different names according to which organization they belong to. There's this Biu-biu wagon and there's this yellow wagon, which is called Village Taste, I guess, or something like that. So, they have fresh and good chicken livers and I usually but them there and the price is pretty reasonable, too, of course. And, besides,  you don't have to unfroze those stuff and wait for ages for them to be melted and stuff like that, you can just put them into the boiling water and cook them at once. That's the greatest thing about buying unfrozen stuff besides they being healthier than the frozen stuff. So, you can just buy something like 500 grams of those chicken livers, or maybe that can be too much, too, because if you are preparing that dish just for yourself, I guess, you don't really need much of those livers or any other ingredients for the dish,  so that it will be enough for you and you won't need to take the leftovers to the trash or something like that. Usually, 1 kg frozen chicken livers cost something abou 3 Laris at the Fresco supermarket, if I remember it correctly and the unfrozen stuff costs something about that, too.

Well, after buying chicken livers, it's time for some carrots and onions. You know, my sister usually buys them in this Fresco supermarket, because she can choose which ones she likes and that's why I recommend you to buy them in the supermarkets,  too. It's really easy to buy them there, because they always have them and they don't cost much either. So that, you may only need 1 medium or two small carrots, which will cost you something like 20 Tetris or so. And you will only need 1 medium or even small onion and that will cost even less, I guess. Well, I don't really like having largely cut onions in my dish, however, it may be good, if I chopped the onions and cooked them and add them to my diah that way, although, they had these onion rings in that dish in Goodwill supermarket. And the carrots were kind of largely chopped, too, and they were not cooked really, so that they were kind of crisp and they tasted pretty good, I can say.

After all theee things, you should also buy some green beans. Now, you can either buy sone fresh stuff or the canned stuff, however, the canned stuff green beans are those french beans and if you don't want then, you can try the fresh green beans. Though., you will need to prepare them and then add them to the dish, while you can buy some canned french beans, which are pretty tasty, if you want to know the truth, and add the directly to your dish. I would recommend you buying those french beans, because preparing the fresh green beans takes a lot of time and effort comparing to that one. Personally I bought those canned french beans in Carrfour and they tasted pretty good, so, i really recommend them.

So, I guess, all the ingredients are ready to be prepared or added to the dish. The main thing here is to just cook those livers,which takes some time, but not that much, if you want to know the truth.

Chicken livers with french beans

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams chicken livers
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 can french beans
  • Salt to taste

Preparation process

So, first of all, that you should start the preparation process is by washing chose livers, pouring some water into a medium saucepan, or even a small one and boiling that water. After the water boils add some salt to it and put those chicken livers into that boiling water. Well,  you can even put the livers into the saucepan and add some cold water and then wait for it to be boiled, it doesn't really matter that much, I guess. After some time it will boil and then you should let it boil for half an hour, or maybe even less, however I like it to be cooked pretty well, so that i leave it like that for some time.

So, ubtil the chicken livers get ready,  you can prepare some other things, I mean, mainly you just have to get them together into a frying pan. Well, you chop onions the way you like, and, I recommend cooking them for a while, until they get golden in colour. Then you can add some chopped carrots and those french beans and cook these things together. In the meantime, the chicken livers will be ready and you can just add them to the other things in the frying pan and cook everything together for a while. One other thing, sometimes those livers  are kind of large pieces and you can cut them into smaller ones and add them to the pan that way. I usually like them to be small ones, so that they can absorb more of the aroma of other things and be more delicious. You should definitely season the dish with salt and you can add some other spices if you want, of course. I like my dishes to be with spices and I usually add some red pepper and paprika or turmeric or things like that to them.

Anyways, after preparing the dish, which I tasted the other day and which i first heard of that day and which I first saw in the Goodwill supermarket,  I should telk you how it was comparing it to that Goodwill prepared one. Well, to telk you the truth,  it was pretty delicious and it had all those ingredients pretty wisely decided, I mean, the one that I had bought in Goodwill didn't really have much of the beans, while I mainly bought that dish because of the green beans in it, however, I was pretty much disappointed and so that i had decided to have plenty of green beans in my dish and that's what I did and it was worth it and I was pretty satisfied, if you want to know the truth. You know, it could take some sauce, too, and, well, I had some sour cream added to it, however it would be good with rice or some puree or something like that, too, I guess. I had some Matsoni added to that Goodwill one so that it would neutralize the saltiness of the saladand it was pretty good, too, i can say. Nadughi would be great with that dish, too, I guess, and maybe some other strange sauces, like cranberry or blueberry sauce, which taste kind of sour and stuff like that.
