Brown lentil soup

Adasi ( brown lentil soup)!

I’m not a big fan of soups, I used to have them a lot until I got sick of it. But the brown lentil soup is still one of my top choices, first of all it’s super super easy to make and it’s really good for your health. Lentils have a lot of heart benefits, I suggest that you guys check it out. Anyways this is great for when you’re lazy to make something or when you’re sick. Let’s check out the ingredients and procedure together.

Ingredients:

  • Lentils 1 cup
  • One onion
  • One potato
  • Water 3 cups
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying the onion

Procedure:

Before everything though you should let the lentils be soaked in water for an hour or two, it’ll make the soup better but even if you don’t it’s still fine.

First off start by frying the onions in a pan. When the onions are frying, cut the potato into small pieces and add it as well, let it fry for a few minutes and then add the lentils and immediately the water. Add the salt and pepper later on, and let it cook. It should be ready in 30 minutes or so. Serve it warm with lemons.

Enjoy!
