Broccoli, cauliflower, chicken fillet and cheese salad
The introduction
Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!
In this article I want to tell you about this day and my salad, which is a very healthy and nutritious salad, at the same time, and it’s really good and delicious, especially if you love eating broccoli and cauliflower.
So, this other day I decided to have some salad and I wanted to have a light, easy and simple salad to eat, however, I really didn’t know what to do, because, usually I don’t have those simple salads and if I want simple, I just buy some tomatoes and cucumbers and I just slice them and that’s the salad, if you want to know the truth, so that it’s really a simple salad that way and it’s very easy to slice them, of course, and, well, everything’s just simple that way, however, it’s not that salad, if you ask me, and I wanted to have something more nourishing and something that would last for some time, and, besides, it would be kind of with some other things, too. Well, I decided to have some greens in my salad, but not those salad leaves or things like that, I mean, I decided to have some broccoli and cauliflower in my salad, however, I don’t really like cauliflower or broccoli, but mostly I don’t like cauliflower. You know, every time I try to eat cauliflower, I just hate it and I think, that I won’t eat it anymore, however, then comes the time, when I realize, that it’s good to eat some cauliflower because of so many benefits, that it can bring, so that I buy some of it and then eat it and then I don’t want to eat it anytime soon after that and it’s like a cycle, you know and it repeats itself like that.
Well, anyways, we all know, that taking broccoli and cauliflower, and, well, vegetables in general, is a great thing for our bodies and we should do that every day, so that we get healthy food and not those other things, which are cooked in oil or whatever and we don’t really know, what they are made of, you know, so that it’s recommended to eat plenty of vegetables to be healthy and eat healthy and live healthy. You know these vegetables are not that healthy either, however, comparing to all those fast food and other things, they are pretty healthy, if you ask me. So that, keep that in mind and eat plenty of vegetables. Not even fruits are recommended to be eaten plenty, but vegetables, because fruits have those sugars, too, and things like that, which are not that good to eat plenty, you know. To be honest, I love fruits and especially kiwi fruit and peaches and oranges, and, well, apples, of course, and they contain lots of vitamin C and it’s good for our bodies, you know, and they are pretty good, however, they are not to be eaten too much in a day, because they still contain sugars and it’s said, that you should eat fruits in the first half of the day and not after afternoon, because it’s like eating a large piece of cake in the evening or something like that when you eat fruits at that time, I mean, after afternoons or something like that , you know. And some time earlier I didn’t know about that and I thought, that if I ate some apples in the evening, that wouldn’t be a problem, because it was just an apple, however, it wasn’t just an apple, as it seems now and I took those sugars all those times I ate apples in the evening thinking, that it would help me lose weight, however, that was just my thought and it was wrong and I shouldn’t have done that. Though it’s better late than never and it’s good that I know about that now and I don’t eat any fruits in the evenings. Well, you can eat plenty of vegetables in the evenings and so that I try to eat some vegetables at that time if I want to eat some fruit, or if it’s just an evening until 7 p.m. or something and I am kind of hungry. Eating some tomatoes is pretty good, too, at that time, if you ask me.
Anyways, my salad would be with some broccoli and cauliflower and carrots and I wanted it to have some kind of delicious taste and I decided to have some chicken fillet pieces and cheese added to those other things.
Inigredients:
- Broccoli, 200 grams
- Cauliflower, 200 grams
- Carrots, 1 medium
- Salt to taste
- Paprika
- Black pepper
- Soy sauce
- Sesame seeds
- Chicken fillet, 100 grams
- Cheese, 50 grams
Preparation process
Well, as you know, those broccoli and cauliflower doesn’t need much time to be cooked, I mean, you can just boil some water and put some salt in it and then pour those broccoli and cauliflower in it for 2-3 minutes and then take them outand that’s it, they are already ready. At first, I thought, that I would steam them in my halogen oven, however, then I changed my mind and decided that if those broccoli and cauliflower had some things in them that salty boiling water would kill all of them, so that I put those broccoli and cauliflower in that boiling water for a couple of minutes and then took them out and placed them on this steaming pan of my halogen oven, so that I could add some other things to it and then prepare my dish in it with all that heat and stuff like that.
So, to tell you the truth, I didn’t really think, that it was a good idea to have those broccoli and cauliflower in my dish, because I don’t really like them. Well, pickled cauliflower is something great, if you ask me, however, all those other things with cauliflower is not that delicious for me, and, well, I can eat some of them, but then, I can’t eat more of them and it just makes me kind of sick about cauliflower, you know, and I just don’t want to eat them anytime soon after that. However, I can eat some broccoli in salads and it’s more delicious than that cauliflower, if you ask me, and I’d rather have broccoli in my dishes, than the cauliflower, if you want to know the truth.
Anyways, I had those broccoli and cauliflower put on that steaming tray and then I had some carrots in my fridge and I sliced them into those circles and had them added to the broccoli and cauliflower.
Well, until I steamed them into my halogen oven, I needed to prepare this chicken fillets, of course. And I decided to cut them into small cubes first and then have them cooked, but then I changed my mind, and didn’t cut them and just cut them into halves and put them on a high rack and put them in that halogen oven and cooked them for some time on 180 degrees Celsius,until they kind of changed their colour. After that, I took them out and had a look at them and they were pretty much ready, and, if they were not exactly ready, it didn’t really matter, because then I would have them cut into small cubes and have them into the halogen oven again.
So, when the chicken fillets got a little bit cooled down, I cut those pieces into small cubes, like 1 to 2 cm or something like that and added them to the broccoli and cauliflower and carrots. Then I just had to add some spices and salt and sesame seeds to it and, well, then I decided to have some cheese on them, too, because, you know, cheese makes everything more delicious, especially when it’s heated and then it melts and it is all over the places. Though, you need to have some good cheese, otherwise it won’t be that delicious, or it won’t melt or something like that. So that, I had this cheese shredded and sprinkled it on the top of those ingredients. I also added some soy sauce to those stuff there and that was pretty much it, now all I had to do was to turn the halogen oven on and let that dish get cooked.
Well, to be honest, I didn’t really know, how many degrees it needed to get done or how much time it would need, and, well, I should have been careful about that, because I didn’t want it to get burned , of course, otherwise all my effort would be in vain and I would have spend all that money in nothing, and, besides, I wouldn’t have anything to eat, you know. so that, I decided to have it on a low temperature, like 175 degrees Celsiusand, though I had it turned on for 30 minutes, I checked it from time to time to see whether the ingredients were cooked or not and if they needed something or needed to be put on a low rack, or if it needed that extension ring of whatever. I was really careful not to burn the dish.
Anyways, little by little all those ingredients started to change colours, I mean, they started to get roasted and that’s when it needed much attention, because it just needed a couple of minutes after that to get ready and I was to be able to see that and turn the halogen oven off. You know, everything looked very good from the outside and those chicken fillets had this brownish look and the broccoli and cauliflower had that golden colour on the edges, too, and that’s when I decided, that it was enough for them to be cooked, and, besides, the cheese had been melted just perfectly and it was just the time to turn the halogen oven off and see what was in there and how everything was cooked.
So, after some time of cooling down and waiting, I took some of those stuff on a plate and waited for a couple of minutes for them to get cooled, so that I could taste them and decide, whether everything was well cooked or not and if they needed to be in the halogen oven for some other time, too, or if it was tasty or not and things like that. Well, to be honest, everything was just great and the taste was pretty good and though I didn’t really love that cauliflower, it still tasted pretty good and I could easily eat it, you know. and I had this Nadughi prepared in the meantime, and it was not for that dish, if you want to know the truth, however, it was like a sauce and I decided to try it on that salad and had some of it put on the plate, too, and I ate it with the salad and it tasted really good together and I didn’t really think, that it would taste that good, so that it was a great sauce for that saladand I could use it like that, you know.
Well, that was my broccoli and cauliflower and chicken and carrots and cheese salad and I really enjoyed eating it and even my father and sister tasted it and ate it afterwards, so that it was not that bad of a salad and it was worth preparing. Besides, it’s a really healthy salad, because it’s not roasted or fried in oil and it has all those vitamins or broccoli and cauliflower and carrots and it has chicken fillets and sesame seeds and cheese and it’s just a perfect salad for a healthy living or weight loss or whatever. And you can even add some lettuce to that salad, so that it would not be dry or something like that and you can eat it like a real salad and you won’t need to add any sauce or whatever. It’s really good if you have some lettuce in your salads and everyday meals, if you want to know the truth. So, you should really consider preparing it, and I hope, that you will prepare it someday and you will really like it.
