Black cake with white cream
This is my aunt's recipe of this delicious cake. She prepares it very easily in contrast of me and it is really tasty when you eat it. So, she taught me how to prepare this cake.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 6 eggs
- 1 and 1/2 granulated sugar
- 1 middle mayonnaise
- 1 tbs honey
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 70 grams cocoa powder
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
For the cream:
- 2 cans of thickened milk
- 150-200 grams unsalted butter
You should know, that the preparing process is very easy. It's just the baking that I usually consider as the hardest part, because there are some times, when the cake itself _ the one that is without cream _ doesn't come out as it is supposed to.
Preparing the dough
You should beat the eggs, add some sugar and all the other ingredients for the dough and mix them well. The dough should be thick liquid. If you don't want it to have a cocoa you may skip adding it and the biscuit will be white.
Preparing the cream
Preparing the cream is also very easy. You just have to have a butter on a room temperature and the thickened milk should be on a room temperature, too. So, you should have these both approximately on the same temperature for them to be mixed well. So, you just have to whisk the butter thoroughly and when it's white and soft you can add those 2 cans of thickened milk to it and mix them together.
That's pretty much the cream. See, I've told you it was easy!
Now you just have to bake the dough. You should preheat the oven on 170 degrees Celsius. Then you should divide the dough into two parts and spread the half of the dough on an oiled pan. It will need about 20 minutes or so to bake. And then you will bake another half of the dough.
When the biscuits are cooler, you can divide the cream into two and spread one part of it on the first biscuit, then put the other biscuit on it and spread the remaining cream on it.
My aunt uses coconut flakes to decorate the cake and it's really lovely and has a different taste. So, if you like coconuts, just sprinkle them on the cake. You can even melt some chocolate and sprinkle it over the cake, too. Or just use your imagination and decorate it as you like!
