If you find yourself in Adelaide and are keen to have a shisha, look no further! For a city of its size, Adelaide offers many premier shisha lounges to sate your smoking urges. Many of these venues are perfect for a great social night with mates.

However, if you’re looking for one of the best around, you’ll have to make your way to Hindley street. Located in the middle of this bustling party strip, the Shisha Lounge Plus provides a service that will leave you wholeheartedly satisfied.

The laws in South Australia dictate that shishas must be smoked outdoors. So at the shisha lounge you’ll have a large selection of outdoor seats and tables to pick from. The friendly and sociable employees working there are always more than happy to help you with any questions or recommendations.

If you’re looking for a strong smoking session, the Shisha Lounge Plus provides a tightly packed clay holder to have concentrated doses of hookah. If you’re looking for something lighter you could choose between apple and orange hookah heads which also provide a distinctive taste. If you’re feeling adventurous you may order a large pineapple head to better your smoking experience.

Along with the hookah heads, you have a wide variety of shisha flavours to choose from. Flavours such as apple, grape, lemon, mint, raspberry and more including unique combos which are on display at the counter for those looking for a unique experience.

The shisha lounge also offers many different types of tea. From green and black to Somalian and Jasmin and more. Nothing compliments a shisha better than their delicious hot drinks. They also offer their signature frappes. Chocolate, strawberry or caramel whipped with sweet cream and chocolate powder. You could choose from a selection of flavours.

If you’re feeling peckish, the shisha lounge offers a great selection of pizzas, manakeesh and even AB’s (South Australian Halal snack packs) for you to savour with your smoke. They also offer many traditional dishes such as kafa (beef), shish tawouk ( skewered chicken), shish lahma ( skewered beef, Tabouleh, Hummus and many more options. While this place is predominantly a shisha lounge, many patrons often pay a visit for a delicious meal and calling it a night from there. Luckily there is plenty of space to stretch with a big group of mates on a late weekend night.

The owner of the place is a very friendly and charismatic individual. If you’re polite, he’ll allow you to pick your favourite tunes to play through the shisha lounge stereo system.

If you’re looking for some entertainment, the shisha lounge plus staff can provide you with Backmaggon board sets, cards and a couple of other multiplayer board games to augment your night with your mates. On some nights, the shisha lounge hires a traditional Afghan dancer to showcase the highly popular belly-dancing culture that is so predominant in Afghanistan. Often enough you'll see some of the regular patrons breaking out into dance for a cultural experience that you can't miss as you witness the raw passion and happiness of enjoying a good dance with mates regardless of who's watching.

As previously mentioned, the location is very central. On a friday night you will be in the thick of the party scene. You’ll often see all types of party individuals. From well dressed girls and blokes to the scantily clad and onesies suits. Often enough you’ll see a man with a portable stereo passing the shisha lounge, playing AC DC, electro trance or the hottest singles of the month, It is also right next to many popular Adelaidian bars and clubs if you're looking to spice up the night. Adelaide's Casino is also just a stone throw's away from this location.

It is also located less than a twenty second walk from KFC and a couple of minutes from McDonalds and Hungry Jacks (burger king) if you’re looking to sport some fast food. However, the shisha lounge pluses menu should be more than enough to satisfy your cravings.

This place starts to get pretty busy from friday night onwards, so make sure to secure your seat before 10PM. The shisha lounge tends to stay open till about 3-4 am on saturdays if you’re looking to do something after Adelaide’s lock out.

The Shisha lounge is also located a few minutes from the police station if any issues should arise. However, the shisha lounge is heavily regulated and you should not run into any trouble. You may need to watch out for the occassional aggressive drunk passing by as there are large masses of people moving back and forth on a friday or saturday night on Hindley street.

Happy adventuring, drink responsibly!
