It is a city with many students. There are a lot of green spaces and great architecture. The public transportation is excellent.

There are a lot of activities for students, and parties.

How much does it cost to live in Winterthur?

Switzerland is expensive, so naturally Winterthus is not any diffrent.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Winterthur? Is there any advice you can give?

It is possible. Many exchange students live at Camp AXA. Use WOKO, students.ch, wg-zimmer.ch, etc.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

My favourite Swiss dishes are Fondue, Rösti, Raclette and Züri Gschnetzlets.

What places would you recommend visiting in Winterthur?

Technorama, Rosengarten, the old town, Affenschlucht (to swimm)

Is it good to eat out in Winterthur? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is very expensive. I recommend to cook at home

Is the nightlife good in Winterthur? Where is good to go?

It is ok. I recommend Bolero, Archbar and Salzhaus. Zimmer 31 is free if your into that. There are some great bars like Kaffisatz, Schmale Handtuch and Albani.

What advice would you give future students heading to Winterthur?

Be aware of Swiss prices. Find a place to live ahead of moving to Winterthur. Get a bike, its the best way to get around in Winterthur.
