Doing an Erasmus at Varsow
Hi guys!
My name is Manon, I'm 20 years old and I'm in the third degree of Politics sciences at UPJV Amiens. I decided to go abroad one semester. The Erasmus experiencemake you grow.
I decided Varsow in order to see something different. At first, I though to go to a English speaker country, but there wasn't any agreement so I decided to go to a country which is not so known that other Erasmus destinations like Spain, England or France. Nowadays, I don't understands why this sciences department have an agreement with this polish university (SWPS). I don't see the subjects that I was supposed to do and the one that will help me to keep on with my studies (which are oriented with journalism) they are anymore. So I had to do studies related with linguistic and literature. But except this, the experience is unique.
Varsow is a very lively city, there quite a lot of things to do, for sure I'm in a capital. There are a lot of museums((POLIN, Copernicus Center, Varsow Museum, Chopin Museum... ), guides tour (free walking tours : you find the guide tour in the meeting point and you loose yourself with their histories, bars (specially at Nowy Swiat street), restaurants, events...
I have the good opportunity of being twice atKrakow, very nice city, very different comparing with the capital. I wish I could have more time to visit all the museums but I may do later! I'm thinking about going to Wroclaw, mystic city of Poland, after a few weeks (I 'll finish my exams). I obviously liked Auschwitz.
I met super nice people (friendships that will last forever), I visited nice cities. One semester is not enough to visit all I wanted to see. Poland is a country where the prives are very cheap if we compare with France.
Since I come back, I had a blog and a facebook profile to share my experience. I invite you to do a tour: place to visit, restaurants, transports, administrative stuff, everything that may help you. We don't find so many information. The goal is not to say it was cool or there were such a good parties,... Erasmus is also to be ready, visits and work (at my university we take seriously the studies, indeed at Poland, to pass an exam you need 60%). My experience Finnish on 18 February, I'm going to share more articles meanwhile, so do not doubt to do any question and following me.
