Erasmus in Warsaw
Warsaw is a wonderful city where you can do anything you want.
I went there for 5 months in the context of an Erasmus exchange.
People look a bit distant at the beginning, but just try to learn a few words in Polish and they will be truly nicer!
Concerning the transport, the city is well organized with public transportation thanks to the metro, all the trams and buses; the price is also very fair, it from about 30€ for 3 months to use the transports as much as you want.
Moreover, the living cost is actually cheaper than in Western Europe even though Warsaw is one of the most expensive city in Poland.
You have plenty of places to visit such as the Lazienki Park, which is awesome (in fact it is one of my favourite place in Warsaw) or the Park Wilanowski. The city center is also beautiful, even if more modern because it was completly destroyed during WW2.
For what concerns the night-life part, there's Mazowiecka street. It's a place where you can spend the whole night partying (I strongly recommend the Sketch Nite). If you are more into Latino music, the Teatro Cubano (Aleksandra Fredry street) is for you, together with the Smolna or the Lustro for those who prefer techno music.
If you just want to spend an evening chilling with your friends while drinking beers, the right place is Pawilony Nowy Swiat.
