Why did you choose to go to Vigo, Spain?
I had been here last year, I returned to finish my experiments.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
This year 4 months, last year there were three.
What is the student lifestyle like in Vigo?
I can not explain exactly, but Thursday is a magical night for all young people in Vigo
Would you recommend the city and the University of Vigo to other students?
YES, YES, YES!
What is the food like?
The food is delicious, interesting and diversified...
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vigo?
No, the internet has helped me greatly.
How much does it cost to live in Vigo?
Depends very much, that are some pensions that offers accommodation and two meals per day (400 - 500 EUR) or accommodation only (180 - 250 EUR). If you come with more money you can rent a flat (500 - 600 EUR/ 2, 3 or 4 rooms)
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Yes.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vigo from your city?
By plane & by train (short way around 12 h), by bus (more or less 3 days)
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vigo?
Thursday night - Arenal, after - Kannalla.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vigo?
Don Quijote (Calle Laxe no. 5)...
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Art Museum, a variety of parks (Castro, Castrelos, VigoZoo, Compostela) and more...
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vigo in the future?
Come to Vigo & Universidad de Vigo, at least once, and you will surely come a second time!
