Why did you choose to go to Vigo, Spain?

It is near to where I live and I wanted to learn Spanish.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Well, depends, normally 6 months or 1 year. In my case my university paid for one year around 3000 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vigo?

Awesome, and I am telling that as electronic engineer student (there are not so many Erasmus student studying engineering in Vigo).

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vigo to other students?

Sure, the only inconvenient is that you need to do 80 minutes to go to university sometimes.

What is the food like?

It is Achilles' heel of the country.

How did you find your accommodation?

Wandering around town.

What are the accommodation prices like? What are prices like for other things in general?

Between 150-250 euros.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It is not difficult, if you go there, you will need to speak Spanish, because they are not very English friendly, but is not really hard learn Spanish. Yes, I have done a Spanish course at the university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vigo from your city?

By car, highway.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vigo?

Churruca and Arenal, just ask, you will get there.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vigo?

I don't know, I am not a big fan of Spanish food, but maybe O Grove, it is a small town near by where you can find shellfish really cheap.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Santiago. You really need go there. 2 reasons: close and wonderful.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vigo in the future?

Enjoy yourself guys, I miss this town so much, even though you have to work hard, try to have fun.
