Why did you choose to go to Vigo, Spain?

It was one of the options and I heard good things about Vigo.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was 6 months. It was 240 euros each month (I don't know whether it's stil the same)

What is the student lifestyle like in Vigo?

Very exciting. The CUVI was crowded with Spanish and foreign students, it's a very nice place and it's pretty easy to know new people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vigo to other students?

Absolutely yes!

What is the food like?

Amazing and cheap. Galicia is said to be one the best regions when it comes to the food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vigo?

No, I found an apartment to share with other students the second day I was in Vigo. The univeristy helped me.

How much does it cost to live in Vigo?

It's way cheaper than other Spanish cities. It didn't cost a lot.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are several language courses, even Gallego. Besides the teachers I had the chance to work with were all lovely and willing to help us.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vigo from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vigo?

There are several clubs and disco, mostly free and, if not, very cheap. Botellones are organized mainly in Nautico.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vigo?

There are plenty of good restaurants. I remember eating twice at DON QUIJOTE's and I liked it a lot.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are lots of "castros" which are typical of Galicia.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vigo in the future?

I think Vigo is the city: not too big, not too small. You have the chance to meet a lot of people and Erasmus people know each other pretty well. It doesn't occur to me something negative about Vigo actually.
