Why did you choose to go to Vaasa, Finland?

I wanted to improve my language skills. I heard Scandinavian countries have a great level of English. I was studying business at the University of Vaasa. I think it was a great experience for me, which I'll never forget; )

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

4 months (1 semester), more or less 400 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vaasa?

Vaasa is actually full of students. It wasn't summertime when I was there, but my colleagues told me that if there aren't any students in the town there is nothing to do. I am happy that I chose a small city because all the Erasmus people could be together and could get to know more everyone.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vaasa to other students?

Yes, I think the landscapes and university situated on the island are worth to see!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vaasa?

No, dormitories ares cheap.

How much does it cost to live in Vaasa?

More or less 500 if you don't travel.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I took a Finnish course but the language is really difficult.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vaasa from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vaasa?

Hullu Pullu, Fontana.

Erasmus people can fail the exams, so you will have to learn something at least :P
