What is it like to live in Trier? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Trier is the oldest city in Germany. It has a really beautiful historic center with many Roman tourist features and a huge pedestrian zone. The city is pretty quiet and it is placed at the bank of the lovely Moselle river.
