German students are not so friendly in class, but Trier University has a lots of exchange students, some of them stay only 1 semester, others one years, other 2 years for master. And lot ot german students are interesting in other country and they've spent time abroad, so it's easy to find friendly person.
The university has a really good program for incoming students, with orientation program and german language class for every level.
There are also lot of party, sometimes in club (thursday it's free entry for students in one club, there is a karaoke night and a 2for1 drink night) sometimes in dormitory, sometimes in private house.
In the free time you can take a walk in the city, or have a trip somewhere.
The International Zentrum organise language evenings and meeting at the pub.
