Why did you choose to go to Trier, Germany?
It's very close to Luxembourg, France and The Netherlands, you can easily travel even more if you are there.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I got a scholarship from my region in France and from the Erasmus Oragnization (my home university did all the steps).
Would you recommend the city and the University of Trier to other students?
There are positive and negative aspects but yes I would recommend this university.
What is the food like?
You can find many different restaurants downtown, lots of choice, not really expensive.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Trier?
No, the University gave me a room on the campus.
How much does it cost to live in Trier?
Not that much I think, you can survive with 100€ (without the accommodation).
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There are a lot of language courses available here, however for the "Sprachekurs" you have to do a test.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Trier from your city?
By car or train !
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Trier?
The Irish Pub Trier, because every monday there is the karaoke night !
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Trier?
Pane Vino, Dona Mia, and The Golden Dragon.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Trier in the future?
Be careful because the wifi is limited in the university accomodation and only available via cables, be sure to have data !
