A dream, just a dream
I was on my way for my first trip alone in direction of a long awaited child's dream.
Attached belt and imminent takeoff to a distant island. Seventeen hours later, the sun is more sparkling than ever.
Shiny floor and many unknown people walk from everywhere.
I had not yet realized where I was at that moment. A person dressed in a blue and official costume comes to meet me to offer me his help to point out the way. I reply then with enthusiasm and kindness that yes and I would like to know where the station is. He wishes to escort me but having already done well enough, I thanks him.
Suitcase and bag very heavy that I did not notice with my euphoria, so I digested towards the hotel. After sleeping well, I wake up and there at this moment, yes, I realize finally where I find myself!
I cried with emotion and happiness at the same time. Fifty years after, the dream is real and wonderful.
I lived seven months on the spot and every day was a dream. I lived with very adorable Japanese roommates at first then in my apartment in Kami-itabashi with wonderful neighbors. My neighbor often came, brought me breakfast or homemade dishes and helped me a lot. Three times a week I went to the public bath in the neighborhood, practically only elderly to the town but sweet. The appartment's owner is 119 years old, a very kind grand mother.
While the small school holiday, I left the city and went to Kurokawa onsen to Kushu island for four days to enjoy only the bath to rest. Then two days in Kyoto in a small guest house very cheap to enjoy the bike ride in the city, buying my first yukata in a centenary shop where I was dressed and admire the natural beauty of what presented.
Time to return to study, work and outings in arcades, shops and visit unusual places.
My favorite place was Nakano which was very cheap and not crowded in comparison to Akihabara or I was only going to very rarely. On line Tobu where I lived for shopping like, Narimasu or Oyama. Koenji or I used to go to secondhand clothes shops very often and loved it. Although I was also going to Harajuku, it is often very busy so this place was perfect and quite quiet and had a different spirit. Hachioji is the dream place for cheap electronics, instruments, computers, console game. Super furniture and impossible to find, I advice you to take a look, you will not regret it.
To finish the classic, Ikebukuro almost every day, Shinokubo or small Korea for the intimate and that is all unfortunately.
Talk about food, restaurants everywhere, in the station, to the street, supermarket, like everywhere. It's paradise I was thinking at that time. Seven floors of restaurants in Ikebukuro Station now, eleven floors. I recommand you, the Milky Way cafe.
Behind the sunshine city but hard to find, there is a free cat park. They are abandoned cat who have found refuge here. So explore if you can.
You can rest yourself in cat cafe and book or feed cute cats or watch the silent and dark howls at different places.
Much more importantly, this dream, this trip, showed me that humanity and values still exists on the globe. I felt free and had the impression that I had finally found my true place, my true home. What a marvelous encounter, an emotion of every kind and daily happiness.
I have unfortunately returned but intends to leave and stay definitively and see again people I love and who are waiting for me.
Emotions and the unusual guaranteed.
For those who hesitate to take the step, book your tickets, prepare your luggage, take the fly, hang your belt and come, go there, go, just go. You would not regret it i guarantee you.
So if you have a dream, just go, go, go!
The dream just started and will never end.
