Salzburg experience

Introduction

In this article I want to tell you about my experience in Salzburg and this amazing city, which is a birthplace of the world famous musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and I have known that from my very childhood, because I went to this music school, where we learned the fortepiano and solfeggio and everything and, of course, we had some theory lessons, too, and we were taught many things about musicians all over the world and in Georgia and we knew about Mozart, too, of course. Then we had music lessons at school, too, where we also learned things about him and Austria and everything and, so that I knew, that Salzburg was a place, where Mozart was born and it was a great pleasure visiting this city, however, I was not just a tourist visiting the city, but I was participating in this UN programme of debates and stuff like that with many other people from all around the world and it was going to be fun and lots of work and sightseeing those historical places, too, of course, so that I was pretty excited about my trip to Salzburg, you know.

Salzburg Fortress

Well, while visiting Salzburg, you should definitely see Salzburg Fortress or Festung Hohensalzburg. It’s an outstanding 11th century fortress, which is worth seeing and it’s a place, where you will experience the splendid medieval ages and it’s just an amazing trip there. I really enjoy those kinds of things, I mean, imagining being in some moments in history and enjoying every bit of it, so that it was a pretty big deal for me to visit this place, though we didn’t really have much of a free time then, because we were on a project and it was a debates’ club and things like that and we had to work pretty hard on those stuff there and we didn’t really have much time to sight see the city.

Salzburg Cathedral

You must see this cathedral! It’s an amazing experience for everyone, because this cathedral is just fascinating and the views from it are wonderful. It’s just nearby the Mozart’s birthplace and you can visit it anytime, you know. the ceilings are beautiful and the colours are vivid.

So, there are many cathedrals and abbeys and places, where you should go while being in Salzburg, such as, Wasserspiele Hellbrunn and Scholl Helbrunn and everything, though we haven’t really seen much. And of course, you should definitely visit Mozart’s birthplace, because going to Salzburg and not visiting this significant place is just very wrong and you shouldn’t do that!

Well, I hope, that I will go there some day and see all those interesting places in Salzburg, that I couldn’t see then.
