It looked like a beautiful place.

I received around 1700 euros overall.

What is the student lifestyle like in Salzburgo?

It is a great lifestyle for a student in Salzburg. The University is great, and there are lots of social opportunities.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Salzburgo to other students?

Yes, certainly!

What is the food like?

The food is ok. Personally the local Austrian food was not my favourite, but there was plenty of choices!

How much does it cost to live in Salzburgo?

120-150 euros a week.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there are very good language courses. The online service is quite confusing but after a few weeks, everything is simple!

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Salzburg from your city?

I flew to Munich from Dublin and then I got the train. Which took a total of about 5-6 hours.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Salzburg?

The Dubliner Irish pub was my favourite place. There are a couple of nice Belgian bars also, as well as O'Malleys and the Shamrock.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Salzburg?

L'osteria was a very nice, cheap place to eat pizza. Billa or the University Mensa were also good places for lunch.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The fortress, the Mozart Geburthaus, the various mountains and hike routes, Fluschl lake and many other nice places in and around Salzburg.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Salzburg in the future?

Be sure to do the orientation German course for 100 euro if you can. It was a great way to make friends early and also it was great for my German! Enjoy it!
