Why did you choose to go to Salzburg, Austria?
I wanted to have the opportunity to live life in a foreign country, in a city that has a very good reputation like Salzburg, Austria.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
The scholarship I got was for 6 months.
What is the student lifestyle like in Salzburg?
The atmosphere is really nice, everyone is very friendly and therefore there are many activities you can do and at the same time make new friends and get to know the different cultures of each of them.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Salzburg to other students?
Of course! It will be a great experience and at the same time you will grow as a person.
What is the food like?
It is very interesting to find a variety of food, for example I found an English shop in Salzburg that sells tea, coffee, chocolate and most of the things from an English supermarket, that I loved.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Salzburg?
Not really, if you look in advance you won't have any problem finding accommodation.
How much does it cost to live in Salzburg?
Public transport is expensive but they have very good service.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
It's easy as long as you can find room in one of them.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Salzburg from your city?
For me the easiest and most economical way to get to Salzburg is by easyJet uk train from Munich to Salzburg.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Salzburg?
I recommend you go to the famous Red Bull, you'll have a great time.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Salzburg?
There are many good places and each one has something good to offer, but I advise you to see the prices first.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Visit the Castle, it's beautiful and interesting.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Salzburg in the future?
I suggest you enjoy the landscape, take great walks and trips to the mountains, etc.
