Why did you choose to go to Regensburg, Germany?

I was accepted to the University Hospital of Regensburg and I knew the city already.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was for two months. I received about 1200 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Regensburg?

There are many students and young people in Regensburg, it's easy to communicate with them. There are also some discounts for students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Regensburg to other students?

Definitely!

What is the food like?

Traditional German food is delicious and worth the cost. You can also find many other cuisines in the city which is also good.

Was it difficult to find your accommodation in Regensburg?

Yes.

How much does it cost to live in Regensburg?

It depends. For me, overall, it was 3000 euros for those 2 months (for accommodation, food, public transport and entertainment).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?

I don't know. I did my best to speak German language. I already knew more than basics.

What is the easiest or most economical way to travel to Regensburg from your city?

I don't know. I drove by car, but it's exhausting.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Regensburg?

There are many bars and restaurants to go on a Friday evening.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Regensburg?

Bodega, Hans im Glück, Papageno.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Go with a boat to Walhalla, also just walking around the city is pretty exciting.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Regensburg in the future?

It could be expensive to live there and you may find the city small. However, when I was there, it felt like I was in Italy, so I think everyone would like living there.
