Erasmus in Regensburg

Why did you decide to go to Regensburg, Germany?

Beacuse a friend reccomended that it is a great Erasmus destination, and it is!

How long was your stay there? What kind of grant did you receive?

I was there for 6 months and I received 450€ per month.

How is the atmosphere in Regensburg?

Atmosphere in Regensburg is great, it is very student friendly city full of young people from all over the world. 

Would you recommend the city and the University of Regensburg to other students?

I would strongly recommend it because it is a good university but also very fun city with great student lifestyle. It is not very big but it have everything you need and it is easy to get to the all areas of the city. Regesburg is a beautiful city and I am sure everyone enjoys it, there are rivers and pools where you can take a swim, nice landscapes to go for a bike ride and of course a lot of great parties everyday in dorms but also in city center and next to the river. Also, from Regensburg you can travel to a lot of coutries by bus/train.

Did you have difficulties finding accommodation?

No, because the there are a lot of dorms so you get one if you apply. They are really good and you do not need to share the room.

What are the living costs in Regensburg?

Living costs are okay, dorms cot between 230€ and 350€ (not private ones) and you can get everywhere on bike so you do not need to pay for transportation.

Where would you recommend in Regensburg for going out?

Almost every day there is a party in some of many student dorms, also you can have a great time just next to the river or in the square in the center where all students hang out.
