Why did you choose to go to Regensburg, Germany?
Friendly and well organised city. Small enough to feel comfortable and go everywhere with bike, and big enough for the movies or concert.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
10 months, with 350 euro per month. Not enough but there are plenty of jobs waiting for students.
What is the student lifestyle like in Regensburg?
Well, I think you will like it, every one else did.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Regensburg to other students?
Sure, nice place, nice people, and nice sport centres.
What is the food like?
Not the best in the university cafeteria, but there are a lot of nice restaurants, and to buy grocery in supermarket is not so expensive as well.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Regensburg?
No, but try to do it before, since there are a lot of student looking for good one.
How much does it cost to live in Regensburg?
That depends how you want to live, but 400 euro is a minimum.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Plenty of courses, just try not to speak always in engish.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Regensburg from your city?
By car.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Regensburg?
A night club called "Alte film buhne".
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Regensburg?
Yes, La dolce vita.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The Ostdeutsche galerie, theaters and cinemas (Especially Garbo and Ostentor)
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Regensburg in the future?
Check it out, especialy in summer its like endless picnik!
