Why did you choose to go to Regensburg, Germany?

I chose to go to Regensburg as I had visited a friend there and fell in love with the beautiful, small, cobbled streets and quaint atmosphere.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was there as part of my university degree so I received roughly €2000 from the EU.

What is the student lifestyle like in Regensburg?

Student lifestyle in Regensburg is amazing! The student accommodation is full of different nationalities and is a great way to meet new friends. There are also parties every week for Erasmus students!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Regensburg to other students?

I would absolutely recommend it! I had the best year of my life there and the uni is so helpful too!

What is the food like?

Food is a mix of everything from typical German to Indian. Lots of good Italian restaurants too.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Regensburg?

It was done through my university.

How much does it cost to live in Regensburg?

My room was €240 per month in student accommodation.

Is the language easy to get to grip with? Are there language courses available in the University?

Yes, of course there are several language courses, and for all levels.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Regensburg from your city?

The only option was to fly to Munich and then get the train.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Regensburg?

So many good places- Suite 15, Rauschgold, Karma, Gloria, Zap Zap Zarap!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Regensburg?

L'osteria, Marageritas so many good places.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Old Bridge, Walhalla.

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Regensburg?

Honestly it is an unforgettable city and you will have the time of your lives there. I have so many friends there and go back every month to see them. So jealous you get to start your adventure now!
