Old historical city, numerous cultural program almost all day of the year. Festival topics are: wine, food, theater, music. Pecs has many heritages from time of roman empire, turkish occupation and Golden Age.

How much does it cost to live in Pecs?
It is affordable, compared to West European price level. Cheaper than capitaly of Hungary, Budapest, but not the cheapest Hungarian city. Prices are tailored to foreiginer students closed to university area.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Pecs? Is there any advice you can give?
It depends on timing. Late summer new students occupy the city of Pécs. Number of inhabitans increase sinificantly, The life coming back to the city again.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Even though local food were influenced by turkish & german taste, these foods are called traditional hungarian foods. Almost all these foods are spicy and based on pepper called here as "paprika". I am sure, everyone will find his/her best choice sooner or later. If not, go to one of fast food resturant, kebab or gyros bar or eat your mamamade sandwich.
