Why did you choose to go to Pecs, Hungary?

My friend advised me.She said that Pecs was full of parties and cheap.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

They pay you for five months. I received 350 euros per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Pecs?

You can imagine the most lively place in your country. They have many cultural activities. There is a gorgeous opera house. I could watch a great senfoni orchestra of my country in Pecs. It was extremely expensive in my country. Artists from other countries visit Pecs. There are also good clubs. They may be a bit small but big enough to party hard. There are free indoor and outdoor pools.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Pecs to other students?

For sure, I do.

What is the food like?

It is a bit complicated. As a muslim, I wasn't used to pig meat and oil. It was my first time so it disturbed me a little. For others, food is mixture of meat and vegetables. If you go, try gulas !!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Pecs?

With erasmus programme, They arrange your accomodation before you reach there. We stayed at Boszorkany Collegium. It was a huge dormitory. They reserved 2 floors for erasmus students and 6 floors for hungarian students.

How much does it cost to live in Pecs?

It costs about 300 euros.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Most of lecturers and students know english. they also have hungarian courses to teach this language to foreigns.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Pecs from your city?

They have bus trips but that lasts more than 15 hours so the best is airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Pecs?

Sörhaz, Pec-i Est,

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Pecs?

In Arkad(shopping mall), you can find each kind of universal foods. There are elegant restaurants, also.
