Burger Joint at Parker Meridian Hotel

I got this recommendation from my brother who swore to me that this was the place where he ate the best burger of his life! So when I went back to New York in 2012 I went looking for it, and let me tell you, this burger place is not the easiest place to find!

It is hidden in a spot where you would never expect it: in a pretty nice hotel: the Parker Meridian Hotel. If you enter the hotel (I felt totally in the wrong place when we entered first) you can ask at the reception for Burger Joint and they will show you the way to a corner where a red curtain is hanging and only a little hanging burger sign over the curtain can make you guess what comes now.

Entering through this red curtain you will find yourself in a completely differerent world: A tiny burger place with a few tables and lots of writing and posters on the walls. Nothing fancy, nothing nice, nothing pretty... but: the best burgers in town!

Often you actually have to wait in line to get in because the place is so small and getting more and more popular. Also the menu is pretty small but most people come here for the same thing anyways: the classic combo of burger, fries and coke.. And that's what they do best!

So if you are in New York, make sure to check out this place and taste some real delicious american burgers. If they are really the best burger of your life is on you to decide, but what is sure is that already the way there is a little bit of an adventure itself, worth to experience.
