Capri, Italy

Capri is a small beautiful island located near Napoli, Italy. Capri is a famous tourist attraction among Italians and non-Italians due to beautiful beach area, natural landscapes, Blue Grotto, Faraglioni, Marina Piccola, Anacapri, etc. Due to the fact that Capri gets crowded during the summer season. Even if, it gets crowded, this is a best place to spend your summer vacation.

The history of the island runs to ancient Roman era. During this period, emperors enhanced the beauty of this island by constructing Villas, gardens and many other things. Thereafter, this island faced different footings in time to time such as Pirate attacks. Anyhow, the island managed to overcome all these obstacles and glimmer until today. Besides that, Capri attracted the heart of many novelists, artists as well as the film producers. As result of that, great artistic creations were born based on Capri.

Travellers can reach to this island from different ports such as Naples, Salerno, Ischia, etc. I started my journey from Naples. I would like to recommend you visit the timetable stand cruise schedules of different ports to Capri since, schedule change during the different periods. Travellers can select two types of boat trips to reach to the Capri island, which differ from the time it takes to complete the journey. For the fast riding, you should pay little bit more. But if you are a resident in Napoli, then you just have to pay little amount of money, which is around 4 euro for the boat trip to reach there. Besides that, you can rent a boat to visit famous tourist destinations in the middle of the sea such as Blue Grotto, which was cost around 20 euro per person.

Blue Grotto is a beautiful cave located in the middle of the sea and deep in a cliff. Exclusive of the beauty of the cave, sunlight passes through the water, enhance the beauty of the water by turning the water into blue colour. Absence of the bad climate changes would be a perfect visit for this place since it enhances the beauty.

Faraglioni are the three famous spurs rocks, which has come out of the sea and located at few meters away from the southern coastal area of the Capri island. Three rocks have been named as Stella, Faraglione di Mezzo and Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo. These three rocks provide beautiful landscapes to the island by mixing with their charm with blue water and the golden sunset. This is a beautiful place, where you must visit during your stay in Capri.

The garden of Augustus, which is known by Krupp Gardens, is a botanical garden located in this island. The garden was constructed during the 20th century. Besides the flora and the monuments, you can enjoy beautiful landscapes from there. You can visit the limestone rock formations, Faraglioni sea stacks from there.

Another place to visit the extraordinary sceneries is Villa San Michele, which was constructed in twentieth century. From this place, travellers can enjoy the panoramic view of harbour, Mount Vesuvius and the Capri city. This place is perfect for romantic time spending. The garden of San Michele is enriched with the valuable relics, art works, which runs to the Egypt era. Besides that, Alex Munthe wrote a book namely, The Story of San Michele, which describe the story of discovering this beautiful island and construction of the Villa and other important Roman remaining/ruins and relics. The book was world famous right after the publication and translated into many other languages.

Besides these important places, I must say that there are a lot of many other small and peaceful places to visit in this island. During my stay, I was lucky enough to enjoy lot of tasty sea food and lovely Italian pizza for the reasonable prices. Besides that, we enjoyed a lot of night walks along small paths with friends under the thousands of stars in summer season, which took the appearance of the heaven.

I was lucky enough to reserve my hotel for a good price since I did my reservation in advance. I should say that during the summer and peak season it is very hard to find a hotel for a reasonable price. So, do your reservation in advance.
