What is it like to live in Munich? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It´s a city with a welcoming atmosphere. Concerts, culture and the best and largests beer gardens in the world, not only in the famous English Garden which is amazing. Top universities are located in the city and make it an international hot spot for students but also for job seekers as many global companies are located here (e. g. Google, Microsoft, Siemens, IBM, BMW, etc. )
What is the student lifestyle like in Munich?
Top international universities are located here (LMU, TU).
How much does it cost to live in Munich?
It is not cheap but the value for money is still not too bad.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Munich? Is there any advice you can give?
Usually there are long queues for nice accomodations.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There is an international food scene with plenty of Bavarian restaurants.
What places would you recommend visiting in Munich?
English Garden, Oktoberfest, Olympic Park, Stadium (Allianz Arena), Culture district with famous museums, Marienplatz, Stachus and great shopping...
Is it good to eat out in Munich? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It absolutely is, my favorite spot is La Boheme in Schwabing (a new architectural area).
Is the nightlife good in Munich? Where is good to go?
Many bars and cafe: Kosmos, rooftop bar (M'Uniqo), Zephyr and Pusser´s.
What advice would you give future students heading to Munich?
Enjoy the special atmosphere with socialising in the English Garden and at beer gardens.
