Why did you choose to go to Munich, Germany?
I chose Munich because it is very friendly city in terms of studying, Munich is IT HUB and in my opinion it is best city for IT industry in Germany and I am from IT industry. Different cultures, many events there is so much things that you can see in Munich. People are kind and everything is nice and calm. The city is really good for living.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I am not Erasmus student so I don't receive money
What is the student lifestyle like in Munich?
As I said, the city is really friendly to students, we have semester card for transportation, you can use libraries, you can study wherever you want you can work to earn money for your living, professors and tutors are friendly and they want to transfer knowledge so you can learn from them a lot.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Munich to other students?
Definitely every University is good here.
What is the food like?
They don't have very big offer, but it is big city one can find for himself/herself whatever he/she wants.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Munich?
The accommodation in Munich is most difficult thing to accomplish, so one has to start hunting as soon as possible. It costs and it is time consuming.
How much does it cost to live in Munich?
I think that one person with average needs can spend around 300 EUR on everyday living of course there is health insurance + accommodation
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There are lot of opportunities for language courses but one has to be quick for registering at University because there are many students who want that language courses. But there is always option to attend the course out of university.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Munich from your city?
Most economical way is bus, but sometimes you can find cheep airplane tickets.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Munich?
There are lots of options for night out there are many pubs and breweries but there are also night clubs.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Munich in the future?
Munich is so big city that you need a lot of time to see what is in the box and for sure worth to study. There are lots of opportunities.
