Experience in Munich, Germany by Dimah
What is it like to live in Munich? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's the most beautiful city in Germany and very very clean, but not so exciting for young people.
I chose it mainly for educational purposes. Because LMU and TU are the top two universities in Germany.
What is the student lifestyle like in Munich?
If you have the American college life in your mind, Munich is not the place for you.
Because the universities there are the best in Germany, the work load is very time consuming, so there isn't much time for other activities, other than the gym maybe.
How much does it cost to live in Munich?
It's very expensive. Munich is the most expensive city in Germany.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Munich? Is there any advice you can give?
if you don't get a room from the "Studentenwerk" (which is very likely as the waiting list is very long and the rooms are not enough) the accommodation is very expensive and very hard to find.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
I didn't try many German dishes, but the one I could recommend is called " Kaesespaetzle" and it's very delicious.
