Why did you choose to go to Munich, Germany?
Because I wanted to do an internship at DLR.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
3 months. I receive around 450 euros.
What is the student lifestyle like in Munich?
There is always something to do (eg. doing sports, go out and so on).
Would you recommend the city and the University of Munich to other students?
I would, definitely.
What is the food like?
It is varied and tasty, and generally you are served plenty of food as well.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Munich?
Yes it did. It would be advisable to start looking for places really early.
How much does it cost to live in Munich?
The cost of living is intermmediate.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
It is quite difficult, but there are plenty of German courses for beginners.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Munich from your city?
Plane, definitely.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Munich?
Anywhere in the city centre.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Munich?
Beer gardens (like HB)
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The New City Hall, the Isar River, Allianz Arena, all the castles around the city, BMW museum...
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Munich in the future?
When looking for accommodation, if you have the possibility to contact by phone, you should do this first rather than sending an email.
