It's a big city with lots of things to do and Munich has a strong Bavarian culture.
What is the student lifestyle like in Munich?
There are lots of exchange students, so you can be sure you are going to meet some. The quality of life in Munich is really good : safe, nice...
Would you recommend the city and the University of Munich to other students?
Totally! Munich it's the perfect city to live and Uni are really good.
You can have fun, meeting lots of people, going out, walking safely in the city, the transports are good.
What is the food like?
The food is not so good: lots of ham, sausage...
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Munich?
My Uni in Munich offered me a room in student residence. It was perfect, we were lots of exchange students living there, you can meet people and it's really cheap (around 300e per month).
How much does it cost to live in Munich?
Munich is not the cheapest city. But when I compare to France it's the same cost and less if you compare it to Paris, to go out it's cheaper.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?
In my Uni but usually teachers give some papers with the classes. (HM München) you could get some classes in english.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Munich from your city?
From Paris you can travel by bus (really long), by plane or by train (have a look on the DB Bahn website it's sometimes cheaper than french train).
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Munich?
The student life is really cool. There are some student residence with bars where you can meet lots of people and party really cheap (Studentenstadt).
If you like clubs, there are some really good, big. The music is commercial music. With my Erasmus friends we liked Nachtgallerie, Neuram, Cielo.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Munich?
You definetly have to go in a Bavarian Restaurant.
If you like pizza, you can go to "L'Osteria" (in Karlplatz and Giselstrasse). It's pretty good, and pizza are so big, you can share it with somebody else, so it's really cheap.
