Why did you choose to go to Munich, Germany?
Germany is a highly culturally developed and as Munich is the capital of Bavaria, you can lead a German and international life at the same time.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
For 6 months, I got €3, 000 from all of the funding I got.
What is the student lifestyle like in Munich?
It's very good, there are lots of different universities and all of the students go out to the same places.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Munich to other students?
Yes, without a shadow of a doubt.
What is the food like there?
In my opinion, there's no food like Spanish food. They have a lot of meat and greasy foods especially.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Munich?
Yes, it's very difficult to find accommodation as a student and even more so if you don't know much German, what's more rent there is normally pretty expensive.
How much does it cost to live in Munich?
Not including accommodation, around €400 a month.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?
German is a language that you need to put a lot of study into, the university offers courses now.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Munich from your home city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend for a night out in Munich?
Gecko, Pacha, Jack Rabbit...
And to eat in Munich? What are some of your favourite places to go?
The typical bars at Sendliger Tor are normally pretty expensive, but they're very good.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
It's a city totally full of culture.
Do you have any advice for students coming to Munich in the future?
Study the language and wrap up warm.
