Why did you choose to go to Munich, Germany?

It is where the Infineon HQ located.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Zero. It is all on my own, but I work as an internship so I do get paid.

What is the student lifestyle like in Munich?

Study, party and more party.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Munich to other students?

Of course, but try to avoid winter. Wearing so many layers of cloths are troublesome.

What is the food like?

Great. Any food without vegetables is fine with me!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Munich?

It doesn't cost anything to find accommodation, but the rental is expensive.

How much does it cost to live in Munich?

Average rental around 600€, travel around 50€, Groceries around 100€, and around 100€ for parties (depend on the frequency and quality).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is difficult. I can't speak or understand at all and I couldn't find a suitable language class, because I am working on weekdays.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Munich from your city?

I live in Malaysia which is 10000 km away. Thus I can only travel by aeroplane and it's not cheap at all.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Munich?

I am not really familiar with Munich nightlife.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Munich?

L'osteria, Burger house, Hans Im Gluek, Restaurant Champor are a few good places for food.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

I am not familiar, but anywhere is good because everything is so new to me.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Munich in the future?

Join Erasmus group and know lots of people! That is the easiest way to get you to get familiar in Munich! Join Erasmus event too! They have lots of interesting events.
