What is it like to live in Mumbai? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's a totally different experience . If you're open minded and willing to accept and learn about the culture and customs , then it's a wonderful experience to live in Mumbai . Mumbai is heavily populated and the economic capital of India . Hence , plenty of poor and uneducated people come to the city in search of work . They live , cook eat and urinate on the streets in some parts of the city . its an urban mix of the rich and poor all in one city. 

What is the student lifestyle like in Mumbai?

Student lifestyle is great . There are plenty of courses that one can pursue and even visit the neighbouring hill stations and cities . There is the national council for performing arts NCPA which hold regular cultural programs both on a national and international level .

How much does it cost to live in Mumbai?

It should cost around the equivalent of 200 pounds to cover food transport and mobile bills . Accommodation is not included and will cost more depending on the area you live in. 

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Mumbai? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not very difficult to find accommodation . However finding a good apartment or room that adheres to European standards may be difficult .

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are plenty of restaurants which cater to the palates of everybody . People  who prefer spicy food would like the North Indian cuisine but those who like something less spicy would like South Indian food . There are plenty of takeaway places and a lot of cafes and restaurants serving international cuisine .

What places would you recommend visiting in Mumbai?

South Mumbai is the place to be though accommodation can be very expensive . Students would prefer Bandra as it's a place where the young crowd meet .

Is it good to eat out in Mumbai? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It's safe to eat out in certain restaurants which are known to use authentic and genuine ingredients and are noted for their hygienic kitchens . One just needs to know where to eat at places recommended by other .

Is the nightlife good in Mumbai? Where is good to go?

Any place is a good place to be as long as you have a good circle of friends . Someone you can hang out with or if you're an extrovert , you can make friends anywhere anytime .

What advice would you give future students heading to Mumbai?

Do visit Mumbai with an open mind and you will enjoy yourself .
