Mumbai (Bombay) is business capital of India and one of the biggest city in India and the world. People of all culture and religions lives here. It is best known for its food, business, old history of British time, and Bollywood. Population of Mumbai is approx 20 million ( yeah its too much).

Where is Mumbai and how do I go there?

Mumbai is capital of Maharashtra state of India. It situated in western coastline, in the south of Gujarat and connected to Arabian sea. Mumbai is one of the biggest city of Indian, and very important business hub.

Chatrapati shivaji international and domestic airport, biggest airports of india are in Mumbai, you can go by flight to Mumbai. If you are local or traveling to other parts in India and want to go there by train, you can do there. Trains are very frequent to Mumbai city from any part of india. You can go by bus or car too.

Why i went to Mumbai city?

I got a job in Mumbai and that's why I moved to Mumbai city.

Was it easy to find a place to live and was it cheap?

no, it wasn't easy to find a place to live for a longer time because at that time there was not much services available for finding accommodation easily on internet, not like now a days. This days you can easily find places to live for long period and hotels too according to your budget.

How is the transport system in Mumbai?

Transportation is good from metro, bus services to cab. Travelling is cheaper then other cities and easy to get. I suggest to travel by metro, fastest and cheapest way because during pick hours traffic on road increase so much will take lot of time to travel small distance by car or bus.

Food and Drink

There are all kind of multi-cuisine restaurants with best quality food and services. You can find all famous coffee shop and restaurant brands in Mumbai from Starbucks to McD many more. But speciality of Mumbai is street food, its very cheap, different and tasty, things you've never ate before.

Night Life

Night life in Mumbai is awesome. You can find lot of good bars, disco-clubs, sheesha lounge, live performances and events. If you want some calm & peacefull environment you can go to sea view terrece restaurants. Normally Mumbai dont sleep for Party people. You can easily find anything to spend your night with fun.

People

People of Mumbai as per my experience are very friendly and helpful. Yeah there are some bad people everywhere who gave you some bad experience, but it is the situation of every city all over the world. You will find some bad people or experiences everywhere. But it dont mean everyone is bad.

Final thoughts

All and all Mumbai is the city for people like me who love to discover new people, cultures, rituals without feeling like you are stranger. Mumbai is good for earning money in day time & loose em all at night. Meet beautiful people, have fun, you dont know when you will become a pure "mumbaikar" (a word for people who truly belongs to mumbai city with their soul and heart)
