As a child, my favorite Disney movies were Mulan and Anastasia. When movies open your mind to other cultures, it’s great. We can argue about the product and its rep (because we know Disney is biased as well). We can also say that a movie, a book, a song, etc. can also make you meet with a culture which is a 360° from your own. When you enjoy it and you want to do research on it and discover the culture of another country, that product can be metaphorically compared to the sea or ocean and not to a wall (which, on the other hand, closes and segregates people into their own beliefs and closes them to the difference). Like the sea or the ocean, it means that it doesn’t have borders. Like the sea or the ocean, it opens you up to the people and things who are different from you.
