What is it like to live in Lisbon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

To live in Lisbon is a wonderful experience. It's a city with lot's of different cultures and has an enormous cultural offer of all kinds. Also it has good weather and people are very welcoming. Amazing night life with awesome prices.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

There is lot of academic spirit in Lisbon with lots of typical rituals and parties.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Depends on how much you want to spend actually, but it's a cheap city compared to many European capitals. I would say between 300-500 euros depending on housing.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lisbon? Is there any advice you can give?

No it's easy, with a bit of effort you can find accommodation that suits your needs both financial and location wise.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Portuguese gastronomy is considered by many one of the best in the world. I love the typical Portuguese cosine like "Cozido à Portuguesa" or "Bacalhau com natas".

What places would you recommend visiting in Lisbon?

The downtown and older neighborhoods.

Is it good to eat out in Lisbon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

We have plenty of offer in Lisbon, Portugal is considered one of the countries with more restaurants per capita. I don't really have a favorite spot, we have so many different offers that I enjoy going out and trying different restaurants.

Is the nightlife good in Lisbon? Where is good to go?

We have lots of different nightlife offers in Lisbon, personally my favorite is Bairro Alto but you have lots of clubs that offer different types of music. You have Plateau wich is 80s music, one of my favorites or Urban Beach and Main which is more commercial music. Also very famous is LUX which offers electronic/underground music.

What advice would you give future students heading to Lisbon?

Don't be afraid of talking to people, Portuguese are very friendly and welcoming.
