What is it like to live in Lisbon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I am very fond of lisbon and rather biased about it. Lisbon is one of the most beautiful cities in europe (I have been to paris, rome, amsterdam, madrid, pargue, krakow, berlin etc) and found Lisbon to be amazing. Every time I go for a walk around Lisbon I find it more beautiful. Lisbon is composed of different types of places - old part like alfama, modern part like oriente and also historical part like belem .... it is altogether an amazing city.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

I am not a student but postdoc

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

accomodation is average from 250 to 300 euro and other living cost can be easily managed within another 300 euro

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lisbon? Is there any advice you can give?

no it is easy to get accommodation. site of erasmasu is also a helpful site to find accommodation.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

food is just superb!!!!!! my favorite dish is any kind of "assado" and specially "borrego" (lamb)

What places would you recommend visiting in Lisbon?

first and foremost join some walking tour... specially free walking tour of "Pancho"

Is it good to eat out in Lisbon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Eating out at lisbon is quite cheap and healthy.

Is the nightlife good in Lisbon? Where is good to go?

I don't have much idea but as far as I know - it is very good

What advice would you give future students heading to Lisbon?

Lisbon is the best destination for all
