What is it like to live in Lisbon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

So if I could describe the city in 3 simple phrases it would definitely be good weather, good people and good food. From the historical places to the beaches near the capital Lisboa has many things to do.But for sure the thing you will enjoy more are the people i know that this coming from a portuguese might seem normal to say but from what i have been told from people that were already in Lisbon in Erasmus or just passing by is that the people are one of the most fun and humble to be around.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

I wouldn't consider Lisbon a "student city" since it is the capital of Portugal but there are many diferent universities in the city as well in the surroundings with many places where students from different universities go to drink and hangout. One of the most famous place would definitely be Arco do Cego and Miradouro de Santa Catarina.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Since the minimum wage in Portugal isn't that high the cost of living in Lisbon is pretty affordable for example you can get a good dinner, for arround 8-10 euros and many places like in the Bairro Alto have cheap prices for half a liter of beer and sangria(go to the Bar "Fieis ao Bairo" and thank me later) .But like in most countries in the center of the city it can become a little more expensive so i woud advice to do you shopping and drinks not near the historical areas.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lisbon? Is there any advice you can give?

Well this question is a bit more difficult to answer in my case because i already had a flat in Lisbon when i moved there so i have never to spend too much time looking for spot to stay but in term of prices what i would advice is to see places not in the center but near metro station since it is the easiest/fastest way to go around the city.
