What is it like to live in Lisbon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

To live in Lisbon is nice, you have nice weather in all times of the year, of course that in winter is a bit colder, and the city is very beautiful with all the old buildings and new projects around.
There are lots of events all trough the year, music venues, expositions and several street and free things to go.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

Lisbon is quite cheap, so for students the life is quite easy.
You can go out at night, also to eat out is not that expensive if you find the right places.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

I guess that you can eat out for 10€, have beers for 1€, regular coffe during the day costs you 0,60€
You can go to the supermarket once a week and spend 20€.
Rooms can be rented from 180€ to 380€ (more or less) regarding the type of window/size/neighbourhood

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lisbon? Is there any advice you can give?

Not at all. There are several sites were you can easily find a room or a flat. Also some pages on Facebook can help you with that.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Mediterranean style, almost everything is cooked with olive oil.
Codfish is cooked in several styles, balhalhau à brás is one of my favorites.

What places would you recommend visiting in Lisbon?

Tram n 28
The castle
Jardim da Estrela and basilica da estrela
Alfama
Lots of sight points (miradouro) São Pedro de Alcantara, Torel, Santa Catarina, Monte Agudo...

Is it good to eat out in Lisbon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Very cheap - A Tigelinha - Calçada de Santana
Cheap - O Caracol - Rua da Barroca
Expensive - Avé Maria - Boqueirão do Duro
Very expensive - Pap'açorda - Rua da Atalaia

Is the nightlife good in Lisbon? Where is good to go?

Bairro Alto has lots of small bars, you can buy your drinks and have it on the streets that are crowded.
Rua do Diário de Notícias, Rua da Barroca and Rua da Atalaia are some of the crowded streets.
As a club I recommend Lux Frágil in Santa Apolónia.

What advice would you give future students heading to Lisbon?

Don't loose yourselfs in the bohemian life if you intend to study, but in some moderate way you really should profit it.
Also enjoy the good weather going at the beach, very near... Having surf lessons could also be some good way of spending your time here.
