What is it like to live in Lisbon? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
The city is very charming, full of old, cozy streets, cafes and shops. Everything is reasonably priced and the people are wonderful.
What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?
Despite a lot of work it is a lot of fun! There are a lot of group projects at school so you get to know your fellow classmates very well, and there are a lot of nice places to explore together and visit.
How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?
It is fairly reasonably priced in compared to many countries in northern Europe.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Lisbon? Is there any advice you can give?
Gabinohome.com is a nice site. Also I would ask people from school how they found their places and if they have any rooms left. These are usually the best ways to find a place short term.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
It's good. Try to go outside the touristy restaurants to find places with real Portuguese food!
What places would you recommend visiting in Lisbon?
Alfama - the old part of town is wonderful. Everyone talks about the aquarium and I kind of regret missing that.
Is it good to eat out in Lisbon? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
The best food and service can be found at Sacramento in Baixa-Chiado. It's an ala carte place but it is not that expensive and they have phenomenal food.
Is the nightlife good in Lisbon? Where is good to go?
Baixa Chiado.
What advice would you give future students heading to Lisbon?
Just make a list of things you want to see before you go. There are so many places to visit and usually the timetables at school are so packed you have to prioritize!
