Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

Good study program, good weather, different culture, friendly people, try living in a new country, amazing history, and a good art scene.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

very little, not even 10% of the cost of living

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

relaxed....n fun:)

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

YES to Lisboa!!!! Love that town and Portugal too. As for the University....there is some thiings that must change or adapt....so that non-portugese students like most ERASMUS can understand lessons, have courses in Portugese language and adapt the system to fit to the ERASMUS program...as there is a big difference between University in Portugal, Poland and Sweden for example...

What is the food like?

Portugese food, has some highlights but not the best unfortunatelly.....but there is plenty of food choices from Nepali to Italian and of course the local cuisine must be treid too!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

no

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

with rent, food, city travel approx 600-800 euro/month

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Languae is ok, not easy, not hard...there should be more courses in the language for Erasmus students and the courses offered in the university should be available in english...

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

flight

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Baixa, cais de sodre, alfama....:) n private parties:)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

plenty of exellent pizza n nepali food, avoid the normal toursit traps along the mian streets in down town lisboa.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

too many!!!!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

travel north, south n see n experience the country:)
