Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

A lot of SUN :) Nice sea and great group of people on ESN organization.
Also good school to improve my knowledge.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6 months. 2400 Euros recieved.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

Studying every other day, at the end of semestr even during weekends, A lots of sightseeing (Coimbra, Lagos, Porto, Sintra, Carcavelos, and many others to explore)

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

Definitely yes, enjoy the food fresh fish every day.

What is the food like?

Fish and wine is so cheap like nowhere else.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

NOt much, I contact my accomodator 4 months before arriving, I paid

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

usually around 400 euros monthly (can be cheaper, but I spent so much money into the trips around )

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are cheap courses, but portuguese is not generaly needed. Everyone is common with english (even sellers in the market), Portuguese is great language

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

Flight by plane, then arriving into city by bus

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Bairo Alto definitely, Baixo Chiado, or the Sailors monument

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

Each restaurant I visited was great, Eat salmon, swordfish, shrimps, it is great

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are shopping malls with cinemas, museums, cultural heritage, Visit Sintra.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

Don¨t enjoy so much, at the end of semestr there could be a problem with studying and passing subjects :)
