Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

I had never been there before, so I wanted to try it out. And I had talked to others from my hometown who had been there, and they recommended this city!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I get around 1100 euro. The exchange is one semester.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

I think it is great! We went a lot on sightseeing, out for dinner, Erasmus parties.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

Yes, I would.

What is the food like?

It is good, but not the ones with restaudores and the tourist areas! We found many good restaurants inside the narrow streets in Baixa, Bairro Alto and down to Cais de Sodre.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

We struggled because we thought that Inlife was good so we could see the apartment before we chose one. But they didn't fulfill any of our few needs. So we had a rough start, but Uniplaces helped us a lot.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

300-500 euro (with our experience).

The castle (Sao Jorge), the beaches, Caiscais, Sintra, the markets on Saturdays, Baixa.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

Prepare for much work at school, and be sure to have the apartment ready before you come here.
