Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

I wanted to life in a sunny country near the beach.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I will be in Lisbon for 5 months. Every month I receive around 270€ from the European union.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

There are a lot of parties. I especially recommend Erasmus corner because you meet a lot of new people and it is really fun! Everyone is so friendly!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

Definitely! I don't want to go back home. I study at Nova and the most teachers like Erasmus students a lot! I love the city because it is peaceful at the river and crowded in the city centre. Especially I like the people, everyone is friendly.

What is the food like?

I don't like the food that much. There are good restaurants but I cannot afford to go to a restaurant a lot. I don't like the meat in the supermarket, only the chicken is good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

No, I found it on OndaCity, it is very profession. I would recommend to look at the website.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

I thought it would have been Cheater than in Belgium. But actually it is quite the same. With the exception of drinks which are cheaper and the rent which is really expensive!

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is not easy at all, especially the pronunciation is a problem. However you can follow a language course organised by the University.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

The AirPort. Brussels airlines has an Erasmus deal! Ryanair is also a good option.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Erasmu corner and after Urban beach. Erasmus corner is really chill when the weather is nice. Everyone is having cheap drinks, half a litre of mojito for 4€, and standing outside chatting with each other. Urban beach is the best club if you like pop music. The place is big so it is never to crowded and I love the music.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

Cow beef and cocktails for a good steak.

Fauna and Flora.

Pharmacy for some Portuguese food.

Sushi dos Sá Morais for the best sushi but it is rather expensive.
