Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

I have never been in this part of Europe so it was a good opportunity to vitis this area.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I'm here for 5 months. Erasmus grant is 450€ per month. It is definitely too little because it is difficult to find single room cheaper than 400€.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

Student lifestyle is amazing. These are so many events, trips and parties for international students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

Yes, of course.

What is the food like?

The most popular are fish dishes, but it is easly to find basically everything.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

I have found my accommodation by facebook without any additional fees.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

The most expensive are accommodation and public transport. I think it is impossible to live here through 5 months with only an erasmus grant.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

For me portuguese language is very difficult. The University give possibility to take part in portuguese language course but not for free.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

The easiest and the cheapest way is airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Bairro alto and Erasmus corner if you want just meet with friends and drink a beer. If you want to go to a party I recommend Urban Beach Club.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

Santa Rita - very good dishes and not so expensive.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Portuguese people are very kindly and always help you if you have a problem.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

Searching a flat is very difficult. If you want to find something in good condition and not so expensive do not wait for the last bell.
