What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

A lot of housepartys, party in the streets, good surfing offers, a lot of markets. Everybody speaks English, there are many libraries. Study hard, party hard is the motto.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

I would recommend the city due to above mentioned reasons. University of Lisbon is a good education. You learn a lot from well educated professors and the level of spoken English. Also they have a wide partnership network allowing exchanges worldwide.

What is the food like?

There is a lot of fresh seafood, a lot of vegetables, eggs and oil. Really healthy and tasty Mediterranean food and also quite affordable. Coffee is strong and good and cheap.

Did you find it hard to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

No. I checked http://www.easyquarto.pt and immediately found appropriate offers. Also our university offered helpful sources.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

You should calculate an approximated 300 euro living cost at minimum and another 300 euro rent minimum.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Almost everybody understands some English. In school, there is a very good spoken level. There are also possibilities to learn Portuguese or Spanish.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

By plane. It costs on average 200 euro.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Baixa.

And what about eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

Cais Sodre or Alfarma (e. g. cruzes credo).

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Castelo de Sao Jose, Torre de Belem, Jesus statue, Alfarma, Jeronimos monastery.
