Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

I chose Lisbon because of all the good reviews about it and i am the most happy person that i did.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

my scholarship is 4 months, i recieve 500 euros/month

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

the student life is great, so many interesting events and activities, and the parties are awesome, the prices also not so high. Its a very active city, many things are always happening, you can go out any day of the week and have fun or just chill.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

Yesss, i definitely do. Its the best choice you can make, believe me, and you will never regret it, i am sure!!

What is the food like?

the food is interesting :D but yes, its good. kind of expensive sometimes, but its ok.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

yes, i paid a 130 euro booking fee on uniplaces. the accomodation is really expensive and uniplaces.com may not be a very trustworthy site. I was lucky and didnt have any problems, but i heard different stories. So better wait until you`re here. They put crazy prices for foreign students. Its real to find something soo much cheaper than the prices on the internet.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

is costs around 500, but it depends on you. and these are just for accomodation, food, transport and maybe a little parties and eating out. if you want to travel you will need more.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

yes, its pretty easy, depends on what languages you know
there are courses available free at my university

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

by plane

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

Bairro Alto, Pink Street

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

the Miraduoros, Belem, Cascais, Sintra, Costa de Caparica, Carcavelos and Cascais beaches etc

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

take warm clothes no metter what semster you are going, the weather changes a lot, and there are cold days all year, especially inside the apartments. Try to take the most you can from it. If you have money -travel! everything here its worth seeing, its amazing. Get out your comfort zone and dont be afraid to try new things, because if you do, you`ll regret it so much, later.
