Why did you choose to go to Lisbon, Portugal?

I chose Lisbon for my Erasmus Scholarship destination mainly because of the University but also because of the city, it's simply beautiful.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

For one semester (the first semester). Almost 500 euro.

What is the student lifestyle like in Lisbon?

Amazing. You have things to do every single day, from lots of cultural events to partying.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Lisbon to other students?

Yes, definitely.

What is the food like?

Different from eastern Europe, where I'm from. But the food it's very good, there are a lot of good places to eat some authentic Portuguese food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Lisbon?

No, I looked online for some options.

How much does it cost to live in Lisbon?

Between 200-400 euro/person.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there are some courses available to learn Portuguese, even in the faculty.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Lisbon from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Lisbon?

To Bairro Alto, to a restaurant or a pub in Santos.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Lisbon?

Ti Natercia, The Decadent and some others in Lx Factory.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Well, there's Belem, Alcantra, and of course, Baixa Chiado.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Lisbon in the future?

Enjoy your time, you'll love the city!
